Theres a broadband internet tower down the street from my house. I live in a valley however, and cannot receive a signal. Any suggestions on how to lengthen my tower so i can have my broadband receiver higher? perhaps if i can extend it, i'll get a signal.

if it’s regular Wifi, you need line of sight to the other tower. Just going up 10,20 or 50 feet more won’t help if you can’t see the other tower’s antennas. You need to find out how “close” you are to being able to see the other tower….
try http://www.cantenna.com
They build wifi antenea or you could build your own to strengthen your reach and push.
Not sure it will give you the total results you want, but its the best/cheapest thing out there that may help you get a signal.
Good Luck
