Love it, but I found it worked best when placed above the TV so I built mine into the back of a poster sized picture frame. I simply taped the wire to the cardboard backing and wrapped together all the contact points with exposed copper wire, followed by electrical tape. I attached the connector with white coax cable which hangs down from the bottom of the frame. You can’t even tell the antenna is there and it works fantastic.. Thanks for the great idea.

Awesome! Works great!

I have been using this antenna for about 6 months now. Works great on UHF frequencies. I don’t get ABC or CBS anymore. They must still be broadcasting in the VHF range. But considering their political perspective I personally don’t consider that a great loss. I get NBC, NBC Weather, NBC Sports, WGN, Chicago PBS on 4 channels, an Indiana PBS, The U, Me, MeToo, This, FOX, 3 ION channels and assorted Hispanic stations. I am in Northeastern IL.

Does not work on My Brand new 52″ Toshiba LCD, but works on My friends TV perfectly. The only way arround is eather to take the TV back to the store or to buy a converter box from digital to analog – 40$

peaweasel April 26, 2010 at 5:47 am

It works unbelievably well!!! I’ve built 3 so far.

peaweasel April 26, 2010 at 6:46 am

I admit…I was skeptical at first so I built a small one (2 metal prongs on each side) and it worked AWESOME! So I went ahead and built a large one (6 metal prongs on each side) and looped a copper wire around them and I FINALLY get CBS 2 here in Chicago…(which is very difficult with the best antenna). Thanks for such an awesome post!!!

“Cable TV cable”?wtf?I think you mean “coaxial cable”

djkucha1 April 26, 2010 at 8:20 am

Wow, this thing actually works! I used to get around 6 local digital channels from the Toronto area using my old rabbit ear antennas, but when I attached one of these I was able to get 15, including 5 from Buffalo! Amazing!
